You’ve put your heart and soul into creating a great ebook or digital product and had a great cover designed. Don’t under utilize it! Here are some fresh ideas for getting more mileage and advertising out of your ebook cover design: Use it for your profile picture on your Facebook page. Have a web banner and button created for affiliates that highlights your new product. Use it in your signature line with every email you send. Have a custom Twitter background page created with your product on it. Create a custom business card with your ebook featured prominently with a product description and contact information. Announce your launch by putting your ebook on a postcard and send it using amazingmail.com or another online print vendor. Have a bookmark designed with your ebook. Request a high resolution version of your ebook and put it on a coffee mug at cafepress.com or zazzle.com Add your ebook graphic to a clock via cafepress.com and use a phrase like “It’s time for a healthy new you!” Put it on a book bag at cafepress.com. Use one of these promotional items as a giveaway on your web site. T-shirts are great human billboards. Find an adorable child to wear one with your graphic, and put their picture on your site or blog. (Make sure you have permission, of course, if you have to borrow someone else’s adorable child.) Add it to a barbeque apron; find a willing participant to wear the apron while cooking on the grill, and caption the photo with a fun or corny phrase like, “We’ve been cooking up some great ideas for your business”. Have your graphic designer use a photograph of a billboard on a busy street, and Photoshop your ebook and text on the billboard and use it on your web site. Put your ebook graphic on a wine bottle label, celebrate in person and take a photo of the bottle to announce the birth of your new product on your site. Add your graphic to a baseball hat. Again, cafepress.com can help with that. When the hat arrives put it on, have someone take a picture of you wearing your hat and a big smile. Add photos of others wearing your hat too and create an online gallery.
