As an experienced and grateful work at home forum administrator, I appreciate my forum moderators for the job they do! Not only have they agreed to work with me unpaid, but every day they put aside time from their already busy schedules to help moderate my forum, join in the discussions, welcome new members, answer questions and start new topics and so on. I also moderate a few work at home forums and I'm well aware of the commitment needed to look after these forums. It can be very time consuming depending on how active the forum is. There are many ways to show your gratitude to your forum moderators and here are five reward ideas to show your appreciation for their valuable service and time they put into your forum. 1. Some forum owners pay their forum moderators. Paid forum moderators usually have more responsibilities and are held higher in accountability for their actions and decision making. If paying is not an option, purchase gift cards from Amazon, Starbucks or from one of their favourite places. 2. A common practice to reward your forum moderators is through free advertising. I offer my work at home forum moderators free and unlimited advertising space whenever they like. 3. I also support my forum moderators' businesses. I will recommend or pass on referrals to them. If they are holding a contest, I will often offer a prize and then help them spread the word about their contest. You can also support them by buying their products. 4. You may offer a portion of your shared revenue or you may want to pay one forum moderator at a time AdWords campaign or have their AdSense publisher's ID on one of your AdSense spots for a brief time. It's really up to you. 5. There may also be some special privileges such as allowing forum moderators to display banners in their signatures or allow postings of their affiliate links in posts. Some other privileges include free memberships if your forum is a paid membership site. If a forum owner is a web design specialist, s/he may offer their web design services for free and so forth. Gaining the moderator title is another special privilege. Forum moderators are looked upon as leaders and are respected on forums. You instantly build credibility, recognition and trustworthiness in the community and among your peers. Next time you're visiting a work at home forum, show your appreciation by a few minutes to say "Thank You" to your forum moderators. I'm sure they will appreciate your kind words.
