You have read and learned about the huge benefits of article marketing and you've written your first article, now it's time for you to start submitting your article to article directories.

Most article directories are free, some are paid, but all require registration. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of article directories with different niches. The most popular is EzineArticles.com and for the work at home mom, WAHM-Articles.com.

A quick search in Google for "article directories" or "article directories+your niche" will yield thousands of results.

Since you've already completed the hard part of writing an article, getting them published is really a piece of cake. I know it can be a little daunting and a bit scary, but it doesn't have to be if you follow these very easy steps.

Step 1:
It's important to read each article directories' guidelines and what is expected from the author. In these guidelines it will explain in detail about article content, article formatting, author name and pen names, resource box, and other pertinent information. Be sure to reference these guidelines as they can change without prior notice.

Step 2:
Create an account at the article directory. Some directories require you to explain why you want to submit articles to their directory. This is a simple procedure to deter spammers.

Sometimes you don't have to wait for a confirmation email and you can immediately log in. You will see either on the left or right hand column your member's navigation area.
