Mommy Millionaire takes us on the step-by-step journey of Kim Lavine as she took a simple idea she came up with at her kitchen table into a million dollar business.

Kim Lavine’s tale of how she took a simple idea for a cushion and turned it into millions of dollars is quite engaging. It’s full of business tips, and it’s a great guide for any mom wanting to learn more about starting her own business, but does not read like a normal business book. It’s a light read and never boring. You’ll enjoy following every twist and turn in the road, as you read of Kim’s struggles to bring her Wuvit’s to market.

Her advice for getting on QVC, and scoring funding from Angel Investors alone is worth the price of the book. She illustrates in detail tactics you can only know if you’ve been through the process.

Mommy Millionaire is not so much a how to book, as it is a journal of Kim’s challenges and success as she strives to build her now thriving empire of ever expanding products. It was very much like listening to a girlfriend explain her journey, while offering plenty of honest advice along the way. Even for moms not in business or looking to be in business, it’s a wonderful story of the power of a mom’s desire to succeed. A great read.
