If you have never attended a company convention, you are missing out on several wonderful opportunities. There are many reasons to attend your next company convention: 1. The opportunity to see new products and new support materials. Many companies will hand out samples and other promotional materials for the new products coming out. 2. The opportunity for camaraderie with other distributors. Being in the same room with 500 or more other distributors all from the same company is amazing. You all share a love for the company and products. It is very uplifting and motivational to be with so many other people who also see the value in being a distributor for the company. 3. The opportunity to meet your upline and downline face to face. Email is great. Telephones are great. Nothing compares with sitting next to someone who has been mentoring you for the past year. There is an incredible feeling of pride sitting next to someone you have been mentoring for the past year. 4. The opportunity to meet the company leadership. Conventions almost always provide the opportunity to learn from and socialize with those who run the company. The conventions I’ve attended almost always begin with the CEO giving an introductory speech. Throughout the event opportunities to share meals with the leadership and opportunities to speak one on one with company leadership will arise. 5. The opportunity to learn from distributors outside of your own group. When we join a group, we often adopt their way of doing business and their way of presenting the products and the opportunity. At convention, you’ll learn from those in other groups and be able to bring home new techniques and new ways of sharing what you sell and what you do. If you are an upline leader in your company, consider putting together ride sharing and room sharing lists. Consider offering incentives to help pay part of the registration for your team members. Company conventions are one of the most motivational ways to increase your business knowledge and bond with other distributors. Make it a point to attend your next company convention.
