Direct Sales - Creating Holiday Lists For Customers

By: Audrey Okaneko

With the winter holidays fast approaching I find more and more people searching the internet looking for ideas. They want new recipes, new party ideas and new craft ideas.

If you represent a direct sales company, consider creating lists of how your products can help your customers during the holiday season.

For each of your products, make a list of why this product will make a wonderful gift. Get creative. For example do you sell something that will help make or store ornaments? Use that as one of your reasons why that product is wonderful this time of year.

Do you sell a product that can be used for a holiday party? Add this to a list of products you sell to make holiday party planning easier.

Give your customers reasons to buy your products. Offer them new uses for your products. Do you sell makeup? Suggest that customers buy from you for their children's holiday plays at schools.

Do a web search and find some free holiday ebooks that fit into the product line you are selling. Offer these ebooks as a free gift to those who purchase your products.

If you offer a wide assortment of products, consider creating lists of items under $10 or items under $25. Consider breaking down your items and creating a list of items for kids or a list of items for seniors.

Use a keyword search tool and find out what people are looking for related to your product line and then create a list for them within that search.

I've seen entire websites devoted to creating and selling lists. Lists are very popular these days.

Try creating some lists associated with your product line for your customers and see if your sales increase.
