Need the perfect dessert to top off your perfect Christmas dinner? Here's an easy-to-make and delicious torte. No one will guess you created it from a mix! Ingredients: 1 package devil's food cake mix 1 cup buttermilk 1/2 cup vegetable oil 3 eggs 1 package (7 ounces) chocolate Turtles, chopped 1 tablespoon baking cocoa 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream 1/3 cup caramel topping 1 can chocolate frosting Prepare two 9-inch round baking pans by lining them with waxed paper, then grease the paper. Mix the cake mix, buttermilk, oil and eggs in a large bowl. Beat on low for 30 seconds, then on medium for 2 minutes. Combine 1 cup of the Turtles and the cocoa, then fold into the batter. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pans. Bake at 350F for 25 - 30 minutes, or until done. Let the cakes cool, then remove them from the waxed paper. In a small mixing bowl, beat whipping cream until it begins to thicken. Add the caramel topping and beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in the remaining Turtles. Now you're ready to assemble the cake. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread with chocolate frosting. Place the second cake layer on top of the frosting. Frost the top and sides of the torte with the whipping cream and caramel mixture. Keep the torte in the fridge until you're ready to serve, then enjoy the looks of delight when it's time for dessert! Merry Christmas!
