It is all about getting it right and making sure you get a pair that work for you. We have a few tips that will help you along the way and get that all important fashion item making you look amazing. There was a time when there was one simple cut of jeans and it was easy to chose, even if they didn’t really look that good on you. Now as more and more brands have begun selling jeans there are a large number of styles to choose from which include the skinny jean, flare cut, boot cut, wide leg, straight leg, high rise, low rise, mid rise and so on. Know this, how do you know what will look best on you? Well the first thing to do is know what body type you are. Trinny and Susannah from "What not to wear" fame have identified 12 body types and we have put a brief overview below: Apple body shape tends to be rounded with the bulk of the body weight sitting around the stomach. The best jeans to go for, if you have this type of figure, are tailored, wide-legged jeans. Hourglass body shape is the type of figure Marilyn Monroe had with a large breast, tiny waist and rounded bottom. Try and go for tight fitting stretch denim jeans, avoiding bulky pockets with a straight leg cut. Skittle body type has a long thin top half with a wide bottom half with the biggest problem area being the thighs. Try to avoid jeans that hug your thighs too tightly and consider boot cut or flare cut jeans worn with chunky high heels to draw attention away from your thighs and bum. Vase body shape is a bit like an hour glass but stretched out a bit so you don’t go in so much at the waist which makes you relatively easy to dress. Tight fitting clothes work well with you and show off your sexy figure. If you are slim you can probably get away with skinny jeans and if not boot cut stretch jeans will work brilliantly. Cornet shape tends to have a small bust and be almost triangular in shape and can feel almost unsexy at time. To liven things up try skinny jeans which will make your waist more defined. Lollipop body shape tends to have a big bust and a long thin lower half. Try boot cut or bell-bottom jeans to even up your bust. Column shapes tend to be very tall and need something to break up the figure and so jeans may not be the best thing for your figure. If you are going to wear jeans, try boot cut jeans under a gathered skirt. Bell body shape will be someone who has a disproportionately large bottom half compared to their top half. Straight leg jeans with a bulky top will work well for you. Goblet body shapes tend to have a heavy square top and a thin slender bottom half. Jeans that fit you will at the top and then gently flare out will balance your top half. Cello body shaped women will have broad shoulders, big boobs and a big bottom. Jeans that are either boot cut or flare cut will work for you. Pear shapes tend to have large thighs and bottom so avoid side pockets in your jeans to keep the bulk down. Straight leg jeans will probably be the best shape for you. Brick shaped bodies have a flat bum, no waist, straight legs and broad shoulders. You want to try and create curves, try boot cut jeans, mid rise with embellishments that add curves. The above should give you some general information about your shape and what you can and can’t get way with wearing.
