Having Fun with Colors

By:

What you will need:

4 paper cups
1 tablespoon paint of each of the primary colors; red, blue and yellow.
Paper to paint on
A paint brush

Put one color into each cup so you have one red, one blue and one yellow container.

Fill the fourth cup with water to clean your brush while painting.

Mix colors on your paper to make new colors.

You could try mixing red with blue, then blue with yellow, or yellow with red.

Try mixing all the colors together. What color did you make?

To make different shades of new colors try mixing a bit of red and adding twice that amount of blue or a little blue and twice that amount or yellow.

Have fun making colors!
