How An Article Writing Challenge Killed Writer's Block

The holiday season is almost upon us and with the many different topics and ideas to write about are you still fighting writer's block? I found myself not long ago in this exact position. I knew there were articles to be written, but I didn't want to seem like I was regurgitating the same old thing.

Maybe you have the same problem as I do. I don't write consistently enough to have article ideas swimming in my head, but I would love to be able to write more consistently, wouldn't you?

What's the big deal about article writing? The big deal is the more articles you write and submit, the more backlinks and targeted traffic you will receive and on top of that higher search engine ranking. Plus, it's totally free advertising!

The best article marketers write on a very consistent basis like every day. These same article marketers make more sales and get more traffic. If they can do it, why can't we?

There are many different ways and places to find article writing ideas from questions on forums, newspaper, radio to TV, blogs, and articles written by others etc. Here's another method I found to have worked extremely well.

It's an article writing challenge. What it really does it holds you accountable in front of others. You can set your own challenge or accept and join another challenge with other participants who make it more fun and you can get all the rooting and support you need. It forces you to think really hard about the topics to write about and it really pushes you to think of new ideas. That's the push you really need when you're in a writing slump.

I was reluctant to accept the article writing challenge when the opportunity presented itself because well...I was stuck. How in the world would I manage to squeeze out 10 holiday articles by the end of November when I couldn't write one from my own? I also knew if I didn't accept it, I wouldn't get out of my writing problem.

If you have writer's block or if you need some ideas, I want you to take an article writing challenge because there's no better time than the present to start focusing on writing holiday articles. You'd be amazed at how many different ideas you can come up with based on one theme.

The fact is article writing is effective only if you write consistently and you can write consistently by accepting an article writing challenge. The more you write, the easier it becomes and the less you have to deal with writer's block.
