How a VA can help you grow your business during the Christmas season

By: Corrie Petersen

When you own a business you may find it difficult to grow during busy times. Busy times can be birthdays, summertime, the holidays, etc. Just because you are busy doesn’t mean you can’t grow your business.

During these busy times, you should consider hiring a Virtual Assistant to help you. You can hire her to work for you only during these times or you can hire her to help you all the time. It’s completely up to you.

Virtual Assistants can do so many different things for you and your business. If you are not sure if your VA can do something, all you have to do is ask her and she’ll let you know if it can be done or not. Here is a short list of tasks that a VA can do for you.

• Place ads

Your VA can submit ads through Yahoo groups and message boards for you. She can also find places for you to put your banners and buttons and let you know the cost and how to go about doing this.

• Write and submit articles

You can have your VA write and submit articles for you. Articles are important in business and shouldn’t fall to the way side because it’s Christmas time. Let your VA help you with this so it will still get done.

• Newsletters

Newsletters are the way you stay in front of your customers. Let your VA help you put your newsletters together so you don’t have to.

• Network

VA’s can do networking for you. All you’d have to do is give her ideas or tips to post and she can do the rest. Your VA acts as you and does all the networking. This way, your name and business gets out and you don’t have to do it.

• Answer emails

You can forward your email to your VA and she can handle it for you. She can let you know which ones you need to deal with and handle the ones you don’t. You can also have your VA handle your outgoing messages as well.

• Send letters

If you have regular form letters or postcards that you send out, your VA can handle this for you.

• Greeting cards

It’s always a nice gesture to send out greeting cards to your past and current customers. Your VA can handle this whether they are actual cards or online cards.

• Set appointments

Your VA can set appointments up for you and add them to your calendar. She can also send you reminders so you don’t forget your appointments. Your VA will help you stay organized in any way that she can.

• Database

If you have a database or spreadsheet created that contains important information for your customers, your VA can do the upkeep on that and keep the information updated on a regular basis.

• Research

If you write your own articles or you are looking for something specific online, your VA can help you with this.

As you can see from the list above, there are a number of things that a VA can do to help you grow your business. She can help you during your specific times of need or she can help you year round. So why not take your business to the next level and hire a VA today.
