If you have a dog it's likely that you're frustrated with having to clean up its poop day after day. There might not seem to be any options. You just have to pick it up or else your backyard will start to resemble a toilet. Thankfully, there are great ways to make the process of cleaning up dog poop a little easier. One of the most well known ways to clean up poop in your backyard is to use a pooper-scooper. These are specially shaped so that you can stoop down, and scoop the poop up with the device. This is essential because it makes it a hands-off operation. When you're dealing with dog poop, that is a necessary thing! Now, once you have scooped the poop up you'll need to put it somewhere. Some people like to just have a trashcan nearby to place it in. That isn't the best option because it's always possible that the poop will stick to the trashcan and be nearly impossible to clean up. Not only that, but it will also stink up the area. The best thing to do is to buy scented dog poop bags. That's right! They make these bags for this specific purpose. You just scoop up the poop and slide it into the bags. The scent acts as a deodorizer that neutralizes the smell. This will make it easier to unload them from your trashcan and will eliminate the odor you've come to dread. If you can't find these for dogs, they make them for baby diapers as well and can be found in the baby section. Even though that is a great option, it won't always be practical to keep the poop in a bag. Dog poop is obviously soft and it could become a bad situation if the bag were to get squished in your possession for some reason. The best solution if you're worried about that happening is to get a solid dog waste container. These have a hard backing so that there is no chance of the waste being squished. You can also get more scientific with cleaning up the dog waste. There are chemicals available that will neutralize odors. There are also medicines that can help your dog digest his food better. No matter which methods you decide to use, it's best to keep your yard completely free from dog poop. Your neighbors will be happy with your new decision and you'll love how easy it is to use these methods.
