Is Network Marketing A Scam

This is a serious question that deserves a serious answer. Unfortunately, the direct sales industry has gotten a poor image due to many people thinking they can get rich quick. Like any other industry and valid business model, there is no get rich quick plan. Beware of anyone who leads you to believe otherwise. If you are interested in learning some key factors in discovering whether a particular business is legitimate or not, this article is for you!

Network marketing is a serious business model that grows larger and more profitable every year. People all over the world understand that the true way to secure your future is by owning something. The reality is, most traditional businesses take a very substantial start up cost, and large amounts of time and years to see profit. Most people do not have that luxury. Direct Sales is a very attractive way for anyone to begin a business.

Any successful business provides valuable goods or services to a network of clients and consumers that repeatedly purchase these products or services from that original business. That business owner will consistently market themselves and their goods or services over time and build name recognition and trust with their clients. In so doing, a lifelong relationship develops that provides the business owner with ongoing income. It is absolutely the same concept with building a business from home through direct sales. With the power of the internet and the education on how to build a distribution system, it is possible for one person to build an international business from the comfort of their own home.

The brilliant ability of direct sales is that you also have the opportunity to earn a percentage of the work and efforts of other business owners that you teach and train to do what you have done. The only way to leverage on the work of others and still have a winning situation for the other person is to franchise your primary business. With direct sales you get the same concept without any of the start up costs to make it happen. When you take the hype and false promises out of direct sales, you begin to see that it is as strong and viable as any traditional business given you do the work, give it time and learn the skills necessary to be successful.

When choosing a company or team to join forces with, do your homework. See if the company is in the Direct Sales Association. Has it been established longer than 5 years and does it provide a product that you can be proud to be associated with and something you and your family use in your own home? If you can say yes to these questions you are getting close to making a decision.

Lastly, have realistic expectations. There are many people who find great success quickly, but there are also those that find just as much success after years of effort. This is not a sprint but a marathon. Commit to learning what it takes to be successful in this industry. Define what success means to you and be clear on why you want to begin adding multiple streams of income through a home based business. These ingredients combined with a determined spirit and help from those who have gone before you, your success is just around the corner.
