Letterheads for Your Business Needs

By: Kaye Z. Marks

As a businessperson, you need to have a letterhead for your business needs. It is inevitable. You will need one when communicating with your associates, business partners, clients, and even your own employees.

You need to have a professional face, a legal representation for your business. Otherwise, other people, particularly those who are very particular with official correspondences, will not honor your letter. Every reputable company has one for use when sending out official correspondences. Remember, as a businessperson, you are also expected to do the same.

Take time in making your letterhead. It does not take long to create one. In a few hours, you can finish one on your own. You can create using your desktop computer with simple computer programs installed. You need not to make use of complicated design software. Moreover, you can make use of design templates which you just need to edit! If you are new to the concept of letterhead printing, allow us to introduce you to the ABCs and 123s. Take note of the following:

What are letterheads?
Just like your business name and logo, letterheads are an important representation of your company. As the world of business entails official professional meetings, official correspondences, and written memorandum, these letterheads are considered as legal representations. It is also part and parcel of the corporate identity and reflects the business image the company wants to present.

What is on it?
If you are not familiar with this and you are planning to create one, it consists of the following, organization logo, company name, and contact information, which includes phone or fax numbers, email address and website, if the company or business has any. This is to allow your target clientele to get in touch with you, which can translate to increase earning potential as well as quick turnaround for your business.

Where to find one?
Over the internet, you can search for design templates that you can use when creating. Browse through the selections of different design companies. If they are available for download and does not include a price tag, save it on your personal computer and edit the design template according to your specifications. You will just need to replace the logo, the name, and the contact information, among others with your own.

Can I make my own?
On the other hand, if you want to make your own, you can do it at your own workstation. Computer programs, such as Microsoft Publisher, can allow you to make a letterhead. There are design templates, too, for use. However, you can create one entirely from scratch. Always remember that you just need to include the necessary elements and important information, such as the name of company, logo, and the contact information.

Once you are finished making your own letterhead, you can already start using it for your letters: memorandums, notices, proposals, among others. You will notice that your letters have a different appeal when there is one attached. Even a simple element as a letterhead can make a huge difference on the appearance of your legal documents and company representations.
