Life can get a bit crazy sometimes. With all the many tasks we juggle daily, it can become quite the circus and leave you feeling out of control. So, how do you juggle it all without going completely bonkers in the process? One of the things that can help you to keep all the balls you juggle in the air is to have a plan. There is an old saying that says, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” Therefore, planning is obviously important. However, the question is “How do you plan for it all?” Well this involves a little thought. You have to take the time to evaluate the many things that take up your time in your life, and then decide which things are most important. This is known as prioritizing and should be done in order to truly create a plan that will work and be the most beneficial to you. You are the only person that can truly decide what your priorities are going to be. Sure you can read that family should come first, you can be told that your husband should come before your children, but you have to truly believe that and desire to make it that way or you will not truly live up to the commitment. So, sit down, decide what your priorities are, and make a commitment to keep them in the proper order. Then, you can begin to put forth a plan for your life that will help you to juggle the many things you have to keep in the air. The next step in the process is knowing what you have to do. One of the best ways to get this in order is to make a list. To do lists are quite popular amongst those that like to stay organized. People who frequently use to do lists enjoy the act of crossing things off the list. You may not be this type of person, but writing at least a basic list of the tasks you must accomplish weekly or monthly will help, even if you do not make a daily list. The list gives you a reference and will help you put the many tasks you have to accomplish into perspective. You then line up your list with your priorities and go to work. It really is that simple. Taking a step back from life, evaluating your priorities, making a renewed commitment and making yourself a reminder list can truly help you to tame the lion that we call life.
