Websites are Important in a Service Business

Websites are important when you are in a service business. You know it doesn’t matter if your business is done local only or online. You need a website to show off what you offer.

When you have a website put together you need to find ways to promote it. Promoting your website is the only way people will know that you are in business. Below are three ways that you can promote your website.

1. Networking

First thing you need to do is decide who your niche market is. When you know who they are, you need to find out where they hang out online and join those groups. The reason for this is you need to be where they are. If your service is aimed at moms, you don’t want to be in a place that is for men. You want to me where the moms are at.

When you join these groups you need to promote your business and yourself. You also need to participate in discussions and answer questions when it’s possible. You also need to post articles you have written and tips and suggestions that will help them grow their business. When you do this, the people that are apart of these groups will begin to trust you and they will realize you are there to help them.

2. Blog

Another way to promote your website is to create a blog. Blogs are a great way to share things about your business. The content of your blog is important when you have subscribers and readers. You can post tips that will show your readers why they need to hire you. You can also get your readers involved by asking for their input. Ask them if they have any questions they would like to have answered.

You want to get readers and subscribers to your blog, so it’s important that you advertise your blog. You can create an ad and link it to a post in your blog. When they read this post, they will likely read more of your posts and subscriber or book mark it for future reading.

3. Squidoo Lens

Another great way to advertise your website is to create a Squidoo lens. A Squidoo lens is a way to create a website for free. People can search either Squidoo or search engines and find your information based on the keywords you provide. You can add pictures and html coding with ease. They also provide the tools to add Google Adwords and Amazon books that match what you have on your lens. Squidoo lenses are easy to create because all of the tools you will need to create one are right there for you. You don’t need any special software or training to create them.

With a Squidoo lens, you can focus on one service you offer and go into great detail. You can add a question and answer section, a testimony section, and list details as to why they should use your service.

Squidoo also gives you the ability to make money when you add Google Adwords and Amazon books to your lens. This is a great way to add additional income to your business.

If you don’t have the time or the ability to create a Squidoo lens or a blog, you can always hire a Virtual Assistant to handle this for you. These are great ways to bring in additional business and by hiring a VA to handle it for you; you are giving yourself more time to focus on your business or family.

Now you have three ways to get more traffic to your website. Each of these has their own ways to bring in that traffic, but all should be used when promoting your website. These tips are easy to do and will help you increase your business over time.
