A Cool Resource for Moms - Wikipedia.com What is Wikipedia? Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, with millions of topics. What makes Wikipedia special is that the topics for this encyclopedia are written by users. Each user makes a login through Wikipedia and can create new topics or add on to an existing article. When you write a passage for a topic, it is put to a vote between other users of Wikipedia and those who work for the company. If the facts in your article are valid, your work can be added to the Wikipedia website. How (Not) to Choose a Domain Name The "No-Dash" Rule In almost all of the cases, dashes (hyphens) and underscores will hurt your domain name in the efficiency department. This is because many times you won't be able to give your web address to people in written form, but all you'll get instead is the opportunity to say it. Let's take Mommy Mentors as an example. Mommy Mentors' domain name is mommymentors.com. If I were to tell someone about Mommy Mentors (in person, on the phone, in a radio ad), all I'd have to say is "Go to mommymentors.com." Conversely, if the Mommy Mentors domain name would contain a dash (i.e. mommy-mentors.com) I'd have to use "mommy dash mentors dot com," "mommy mentors dot com and don't forget the hyphen," or any number of other ungracious formulas. To say nothing of the fact that a lot of people will know about Mommy Mentors from an offline source and will intuitively type in their browsers "mommymentors.com." Beware of Downloading Pretty Things on the Web Those who make computers their career – programmers, Web designers, technicians and the rest – obviously have less "computer issues" than most people do. What may not be as obvious are the reasons why this happens. They may be simpler than you think. By following a few common sense rules, the quality of the time you spend on the computer, for business or for leisure, can improve significantly, your productivity can grow and you can eliminate substantial hassles.
