Kids are always falling over, getting burses, falling sick, and catching everything around. So the uses of aromatherapy when it comes to kids are endless and very affected for many of their complaints. These are some of the most common complaints that I have come across with my kids, and I have found these mixtures work very well so I will give them to you and hope that they help you. Treat Cuts and Scrapes. Mix 2 drops of tea tree oil, 2 drops of lavender oil and 1 drop of Lemon essential oil into a bowl of boiled warm water (approx 150mls). Then gently wash the wound out. Get Rid of Head Lice Quickly. As you are probably aware head lice are very common with school age children. Head lice treatment can be easier than you might think, and you can get rid of them relatively quickly. Just use 3 drops of tea tree oil, 3 drops of lavender oil, and 2 drops of Geranium Oil into 20mls of carrier oil. Massage this blend into the Hair and scalp make sure you do behind the ears and the back of the neck, comb the oil through the hair gently, and leave in over Night. In the morning wash your hair as normal and then comb through their hair again with a nit comb. Repeat every 2nd day until all eggs and lice have gone. Growing Pains and Relieving Sore legs By mixing 3 drops of lavender oil, 2 drops rosemary. If using for massaging blend with 20mls of carrier oil and then massage into all the sore joints. For soaking in a bath just add the essential oils to a warm bath, and try and keep them soaking in the bath for about 30 minutes. A Remedy for Sore Throats This is one of the most common complaints among children. By mixing 2 drops of Lavender oil, 2 drops of tea tree oil, and 1 drop of lemon oil with 10mls of carrier oil. Massage the blend on the Throat, chest and back a few times a day. Essential Remedy for Tummy Ache Taking just a few minutes to mix 3 drops of peppermint oil, 2 drops of lavender oil with 20mls of carrier oil, and massage onto their tummy to help ease the pain. You can also try using a warm compress or water bottle too. Treating Insect Bites Use 1 drop of lavender oil, and apply to where the bite is. It is fine to Use this essential oil net in this application on insect bites. The Common Cold - When the Seasons Change Then for all the Coughs and common Colds that seem endless, mix 2 drops of tea tree oil, 2 drops of lavender oil, and add to 20mls of carrier oil. Massage onto chest and back to help relieve the symptoms and it will also feel nice and relax them. If they just have a cold and a runny nose put some peppermint onto a tissue and this will help them breathe easier.
