Copywriting is a significant issue for achieving an excellent ranking in the search engines. Often scrapbooking business website owners believe that the only thing necessary is to incorporate their keywords in the page tags and include their targeted keyword occasionally throughout the page. While SEO copywriting isn't actually difficult, writing for search engines is a bit more comprehensive than that. Search engine optimization copywriting or SEO, is basically, writing text in a way that is easily scanned on your web page so that it reads well for the visitor and targets specific search terms. Its purpose is to have your web page rank highly in the search engines for those targeted terms. SEO copywriting optimizes and enhances other components on the page for search terms being targeted as well, specifically the title, the content or image description and any keyword tags, alt text and headings. Search engines look for and need authentic content pages, instead of additional pages, which are only designed for achieving high rankings. This is the concept of SEO copywriting. For this reason, search engines aren't likely to consider SEO pages that have undesirable copywriting content. In other words, your scrapbook business site's content must follow good marketing standards. This is because excellent SEO copywriting recognizes that humans make the buying decisions, not "spiders". I recommend that your content consist of at least 250 words on each page, with a maximum of two targeted keywords. Use your keywords throughout the page casually not "stuffed" or forced in. Don't forget to use your keywords strategically in other on-page components such as images. Informative and quality content is definitely the foundation for a website to be successful. Your content should guide your visitors to exactly what they are looking for when visiting your website. It's important to remember that your visitors won't always "read" all the content, but rather, will scan through the page or article, looking for important and eye-catching sentences or words. This means you need to write not only persuasive and eye-catching content, but it also needs to be scannable. When someone visits your site in search of a product or service, it's often because they are looking for more information. If you provide quality content that educates and is helpful, your visitors will stay longer. Content rich in scrapbooking business keywords will leave a long-term impression for your SEO campaign. Here are a few tips for writing good quality SEO content: 1. Determine your key phrases before you begin the writing process. This will take some keyword esearch on your part. Reaching a high keyword concentration can be a difficult task. This can result in fragmented sentences, complicated statements and a copy that doesn't flow naturally. If you already know your key phrases, then you are able to write naturally. 2. Know who your target audience is. This allows you to write with their needs and wants in mindy. You cannot write good quality, informative and convincing content without knowing what your visitor's problems and needs are. Your writing should offer a solution to their problems and in order for you to do that you need to first identify the problem before you can determine a solution. 3. Include your key phrases in headlines. Search engines believe that a headline is an important part of your content. Therefore keyword rich headlines produces additional results. When you construct a headline, create them with the same keyword you used in your content. Also take note of the "HTML" encryption for your title. By utilizing "H1" or "H2" tags, they will catch the search engine's attention. 4. Properly distribute or scatter your key phrases throughout the body of your website. You'll want to do this effectively by focusing on two primary keywords that will flow naturally in your content. This is only a guideline; do not ruin a good article by inserting keywords in sentences where it does not fit just so you can use more keywords. SEO copywriting doesn't require you to write in a literary style; it just makes for poor web content. SEO copywriting stresses that you need to write for the internet and more importantly for your reader. There is more to web copywriting for your scrapbooking business than merely writing well. Effective web copywriting, utilizing keywords and search engine optimization go hand in hand.
