JV Partnerships are great for Business

By: Corrie Petersen

Do you have a goal that you want to accomplish, but you can’t figure out how to do it yourself? Maybe you should consider partnering with someone. When you partner with someone, you only do half the work. That is a relief and may be exactly what you need to reach your goal.

This article will show you how to find a JV partner and how to get started with your project.

When you partner with someone it’s called a Joint Venture or a JV. Finding the right person may be difficult, but you will find someone. The first step is to decide what kind of person you want to work with. You want to find someone that is compatible with you and your work style. Finding the right person may also depend on the project. You can do your search one of two ways. You can ask people that you know or you can do an all call and basically interview people. Searching for people on forums and social media sites is about the easiest way to do it.

Once you find the right partner you need to set an initial meeting to discuss how things work, deadlines, and what each of you will do for the project. Set up this appointment and don’t forget to remind your partner a day or two before the meeting. Since this was your project, you need to take the lead on this and come up with the agenda.

On the day of the meeting you will want to describe the project in full to your partner. You need to discuss what you will need from your partner. You will need a website created, content for that website, ads, buttons and banners, and then whatever goes with your project. You will also want to discuss income that will be generated from the project. You will need to set deadlines for each of these pieces. You will also want to set a launch date. Depending on your project, you may need to ask for testimonies as well. You can ask friends or family members or people in your target market. You will also want to do a press release and submit it to directories online and offline in your local area.

Once you have the deadlines put into place you will want to set weekly meetings. At these meetings you will want to discuss things that were due between that meeting and the one prior to that, discuss tasks that are due that week, and how your progress is coming along. Try to set these meetings at the same time and date each week. You will want to do the reminders just like you did for the first meeting and create an agenda for each as well.

Once you are ready to launch, you will want to market your project, advertise it, and submit those press releases. Remember, just because the project is complete doesn’t mean you are finished with your partner. You will want to have monthly meetings to discuss the prior month’s business, how you can continue to grow, and any updates that need to be done.

JV Partnerships are a great way to complete projects that would not ever get done or would take years to complete if you did them on your own. Working with someone makes it easier to complete projects, its fun and is definitely worth your time and effort. If you haven’t considered a JV Partnership, you really should. You won’t be sorry you did.
