One of the best ways to promote anything – including affiliate products - is through article marketing. Over the last little while, though, article publishers have begun to disallow affiliate links in articles and author resource boxes. But that shouldn't stop you from promoting affiliate products with your articles. Here are two ways you can promote your affiliate product links while still following your publishers' guidelines. 1. Include an active link to your website in your resource box, then have your affiliate product links readily available on your site. Once your reader clicks through to your site, you can encourage her to click on your affiliate product links. 2. Buy a cheap domain name and redirect it to your affiliate link. When your reader clicks on the link in your resource box, they will be redirected to your affiliate link. This practice is acceptable among most publishers. Which method is better? Like anything else, it probably depends on your target market and the product you promote. But, while I don't have any statistics on either technique, this is how I see it... If your reader chooses to click on the link in your resource box, it's because they trust YOU and they want to get to know YOU better. By immediately sending them somewhere else, you’re missing out on opportunities to - let your reader get to know you better - help your reader learn to trust your recommendations - capture your reader's email address so you can recommend even more products to them Invite your reader to your website first, build a relationship with them, and they’ll be more likely listen (and open their wallet) when you want to introduce them to someone else.
