Article Marketing Stuck? 10 Ways a Virtual Assistant Can Help

By: Denise Willms

If you're in the habit of consistently writing and submitting articles for your business, you're probably already benefiting from the targeted traffic a well-written, strategically placed article can bring.

But are there ever days when you feel like your article marketing is in a rut? You might have noticed that your resource box isn't converting like it used to. Or you can't think of another thing to write about that you haven't written about 20 times before.

For some online business owners, their article marketing got stuck before it even started. They might not enjoy writing, or they get butterflies at the thought of someone reading their written words.

Whatever has your article marketing stuck right now, a Virtual Assistant might be what you need to get it moving again. Here are 10 ways a Virtual Assistant can unstall your article marketing and rev it up for you.

1. Ghostwrite your articles for you. When people first think of outsourcing their article marketing, they usually consider hiring someone to write their articles for them. This is what most of my article marketing clients ask me for and it might be what you need if you don't enjoy writing or don't have the time to write.

2. Proofread your articles. Are your articles being ignored because of missed typos or errors in spelling and grammar? The smallest mistake can really stand out and turn off your reader.

3. "Fine tune" your articles. There is a method to writing for the web, and sometimes switching around a phrase or two gives your article more of an impact. A Virtual Assistant who is trained in writing for the internet can give your next article some extra punch by making sure its eye catching and interesting to read.

4. Optimize for your keywords. That will help your articles show up better in the search engine results. A Virtual Assistant can research for the keywords you should be using in your article, then put them in the right places.

5. Submit your article. How long does it take you to submit your article to all the places it should be published? An experienced Virtual Assistant can probably do it more quickly than that. Not only will she save you time, you can start getting traffic from those articles a lot faster.

6. Research the best places to submit your article. You can find article submission sites by doing a Google search, but you'll have to look through a lot of listings to find the best ones for your articles. You can spend your time researching, or write your next article while your Virtual Assistant searches for you. She will probably already know the most important places for you to be published.

7. Brainstorm article topics. The toughest part of writing an article is usually getting started, so it helps to have a long list of good ideas. A Virtual Assistant can brainstorm with you and do some research for article topics.

8. Rewrite your existing articles for a new audience. If you've already written an article for one segment of your target market, you can have your Virtual Assistant rewrite and tweak it so the article will appeal to another group.

9. Create a compelling resource box. I've found that the most effective article resource boxes offer a freebie. Your Virtual Assistant can set up a free trial, a recording, or a report that you can offer, to give your readers extra incentive to click through to your website.

10. Develop an article marketing strategy. An experienced Virtual Assistant can see the bigger picture of how your article marketing fits into your overall marketing plan. Take advantage of that and ask her to evaluate your article marketing strategy, or come up with a new one for you.

With the right Virtual Assistant, you can get your article marketing out of its rut quickly and start seeing the results you need.
