The majority of bloggers today have installed a widget onto their blog called a Google Friend Connect. Bloggers are adding this to their blogs so that their blog readers can easily follow their blogs. If you don't already have an account with Google, you will need to sign up for a free account before you can use it. The easiest way to open an account is to go to Google.com and type in the words Google Friend Connect. A new page will come up with the Terms of Services and you will need to agree to them before proceeding with the registration. You will want to fill out all of the requested information and then click on submit. The next step is to visit some of your favorite blogs and locate the Google Friend Connect widget box on their blogs. Once you locate the box...you will click on the FOLLOW button that is located in the box. A new window or box will pop up asking you if you want to follow this particular blog. You would click yes and your done! You can now follow your favorite blogs all in one place to check for updates that you are interested in. You can do this by signing into your Google Blog Reader or into your Blogger Account. If you are signing into your Blogger account, you will want to go to your Blog Dashboard and scroll down towards the bottom until you see the location of all of the blogs you are currently following. You can add more blogs to follow or unfollow any blogs that you are no longer interested in at any time. I personally find this is the easiest way to keep up to date on new blog postings on the hundreds of blogs I follow on a daily basis. Happy Blog Following!
