If you are with a home party plan company, you will have to make a decision on how you wish to handle the party invitations. You will find that some consultants let their party hosts hand them out, other's will mail out the invitations for them. Let's take a look at why you should personally mail them out. 1. Reduced party cancellations. Hosts are less likely to cancel a party knowing the guests have already received their invitations. 2. Increased party attendance. It is a proven fact that if the consultant personally mails out the invitations, the party attendance will be higher. I have seen some statistics that show an increase of 25% in attendance, compared to letting the party host do her own invites. By mailing out the party invitations yourself, you are ensuring that they are mailed out on time. Speaking from personal experience, I have seen a lot of hosts wait until only a few days before their party date, before they would mail or hand out the invitations. 3. Increased web site traffic. Put your web site address on the invitation. I find a lot of customers will bookmark the web site for future shopping. This is great advertising for you if the guest can't make it to the party. 4. Increased Sales. On your invitation, list a few of your best product specials. Give the guests a reason to attend the home party. Tip: To save on mailing costs, use postcards. By mailing out the party invitations, you will ensure a successful home party for both yourself and your host. You will have less cancellations, increased attendance and higher party sales.
