As a Direct Sales professional, it is important to market your business in a professional manner while networking on work at home forums. If you are posting inappropriate or negative subject matter on the forums, this could reflect poorly on you and your home business. Here are a few tips to help you succeed with your networking strategy. 1. Don't post sales advertisements that are begging for sales or new team members. Keep your advertisements professional in nature and leave the 'begging' out of it. 2. Don't post negative comments directed towards the company you represent or against fellow Direct Sales consultants. Equally important...Don't run around bashing other Direct Sales companies because you feel your company is the best one out there. 3. Don't post inappropriate topics in the incorrect forum folders. All forums are broken down into topic specific folders and categories. If you are going to post about something generic such as doing the laundry or dishes, post that in the general topic folders. Professional marketers frown against those who post generic topics in business specific topic folders. 4. If you want to be considered a business professional, you need to spend time in the business topic folders. I meet hundreds of network marketers on forum boards and I am amazed at how many of them never venture into the business topic folders but yet....hang out in the parenting, games, cooking and general topic folders. Posting topics and/or participating in business topic discussions helps to set the impression with all of the forum members that you are a true business professional. 5. It is important to be consistent when networking your business online via forum boards and groups. By consistent, I mean you need to be visiting and participating in discussions, a few times a week. You can not pop in once a week and post a business advertisement and leave. If you do just that, everyone in the group will label you as a spammer and that does nothing for your business marketing efforts. When it comes to networking your home business on work at home forums, it's important to participate in business discussions and to maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Marketing your business online is not about spamming advertisements, it's about networking and building relationships with the members who visit and join work at home communities.
